How to enter the University of Humboldt
The main evidence of the quality of higher education in Germany is the level of economy of this country. Realizing the profitability of investing in human capital, the local officials made most of the ZVO programs here conditionally free – students only need to pay for consumable training materials.
A semester at the University of Humboldt costs € 314.39. For example: the average cost of a semester at KNEU (without additional payments) is 408.3 €, and to compare the quality and liquidity of knowledge … well, you yourself understand.
An additional bonus is a special guardianship program for international students (Buddy Program). It is implemented by the leadership of Humboldt University to reduce stress when learning in a foreign language and social environment.
Therefore willkommen in one of the greatest and oldest universities in Germany! It was founded in 1809 at the initiative of the outstanding German statesman, philosopher and philologist Wilhelm von Humboldt. Today, centuries-old traditions and modern teaching technologies are harmoniously combined here.
Organization of study at the university
The process of obtaining knowledge is organized very conveniently: each student has his own username and password, giving access to the two main resources of alma mater. One for registering for courses and exams, the other for general education. It is here that you can independently draw up your schedule, visit the personal pages of teachers and chat with other students. In addition, on this resource you can find any information on the subjects of the selected course. This is very convenient, because students even in Germany remain students, and cases when after a cool party you will not be up to couples are quite likely. The organizers of the educational process were also once students and took into account these behavioral risks, therefore, after each lecture, her abstract immediately appears on the site.
In general, Germany is very calm, conservative and a lot of boring country, but all this is not about Berlin. No wonder the capital of Germany is called the cultural center of Europe. All the most fashionable – and not glamorous – clubs are concentrated here; concerts of performers from all over the world and for every taste are constantly held; musical jams in parks do not cease; exhibitions of contemporary art do not stop … In short, education will be comprehensive. In addition, an extracurricular program is provided at the university itself: there are many sports sections, a language center, a choir and the like.
Another nice little thing – at the university there is no access system. Therefore, even before admission, you can attend any lecture (the schedule hangs with each audience) and taste the granite of science that future Nobel laureates gnawed at – there were 29 of them – and then even have lunch in the student cafeteria.

Education in Germany for graduates of Ukrainian schools and universities
You can apply for a place at the Humboldt University or any other university in Germany only after two years of study at a domestic university. This will fill the gaps in knowledge due to the two-year difference in the terms of schooling in our countries – there it is 13 years.
However, graduates of schools with in-depth study of the German language (DSD-Schulen) who have received a German language diploma (das Deutsche Sprachdiplom) may not adhere to this condition and immediately after school enter the so-called annual preparatory courses (Studienkolleg). After them, applicants receive the right to continue their studies at a university at any of the faculties. Therefore, studying at such a school is an important advantage.
